Lara, thanks for your nice comment. It seems like you REALLY need to consider at least changing jobs, and perhaps think about ways you can work freelance. You know, start you own business or even a non-profit organisation (you seem to be a generous and nurturing woman). Anyway, I've been there and I can tell you need to sit back and think about a new goal and a new direction you want to give to your life. May I suggest you go on stevepavlina.com , read some articles he wrote and join the forum. There's a huge community over there that will be very willing to help you... It has been of a great help to me in the previous year.

Goog luck and keep us posted.

Hi,

thank you for your words. I skipped work today. I said I was vomiting cause I was stressed. I did not vomit, but I wish I had. I feel so sick with my life right now! I am 33 and can´t believe where I´ve gotten: where is the free thinker I have always been? Where is the good I thought I could do in the world? I was raised to be special, now I am just a gray person on a gray chair in a gray office slaving virtual stuff... I miss when I was a waitress, at least I was moving! I found your site by googling up "how to be happy"... yes, that´s where I am at right now... I need Internet to tell me how... I have forgotten when it was the last time I felt really fulfilled... Your honesty helped me be honest as well. Thank you for that. The things I like (really like) doing are:

1) Reading and thinking. I enjoy just letting my thoughts drift and coming up with excentric ideas and reveries about life´s (actual) beauty (which I seem to have forgotten now)
2) I love being on the beach and getting the sun on my face. Sitting with a friend with whom I don´t need to explain myself.
3) I love discovering. Things I have never seen before, that I had not known, that are brand new (to me) are really exciting! And show that there is so much more to life than the usual ...
4) I love accomplishing a goal. The feeling you get from finishing, completing something you wanted to do.
5) I love cats. I don´t know why I don´t have a cat. I told myself the cats I want are too expensive (I like the fat fluffy hairy type, and you have to buy those)... but what is money compared to the joy it could give me?
6) I love helping people and being generous. I am actually quite generous in my everyday life, and I love it.
7) I love my family. My family is a bit all over the world, and we are not perfect, but I love them madly and beyond reason.

Okey, I could really go on and on and on forever... so I will finish it up for now. I thank you again, for the chance to reflect on those things and to get to know me just a bit better. Wish you good winds beneath your sails.
